Salem City will be closed on Thursday November 22nd & Friday 23rd for Thanksgiving. Garbage pick up will not be affected by these holidays and will be picked up on Tuesday as usual. Please have your can(s) out by 7 a.m.
REMINDER: The winter parking ordinance goes into effect on November 1st. There is no parking on the street from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to accommodate snow removal. This ordinance is enforced whether it is snowing or not so please make sure all vehicles are removed from the streets. Also, if you have basketball standards or other items in the street, please remove them.
The Green Waste yard is now closed.
There is a trailer at the Veteran's Memorial Ball Park
for disposal of bagged leaves.
Green waste vouchers are still available at the City Office,
they are good until November 30, 2018.
These vouchers allow you to take a covered load
of green yard waste to the
South Utah Valley Transfer Station located at
2450 West 400 South Springville, Utah.
They will work the same way as they did last year
2 per residence.
During the recent storms several residents picked up sandbags to protect their property from potential flooding. Please help the City clean-up the sandbags and do not leave them to sit on sidewalks, curbs and gutters.
You are welcome to keep them at your home in a shed or garage or use the sand for your garden. If they are left in the sun or cold the bags will go bad after a few months.
Another option is to take them to the City Green Waste area at 750 W. Arrowhead Trail. There is already a pile of sandbags on the Northeast corner of the property, so leave the sandbags in the existing pile.
We appreciate your help in picking up the sandbags. Thank you!
