The Children’s Parade starts at the Salem City Office, 30 North 100 East, runs north on main street in front of the city library, then turn right on center street heading east to the ball park.  Be sure to pick up your treat under the big white shade canopy’s at the end of the parade.  Those children wanting to participate in the parade should meet at the Salem Elementary School parking lot on the east side of the Kindergarten playground.

This years theme for Salem Days is "Family, Friends and Sunshine".

Now everyone knows that a children's parade consists of trikes, bikes, wagons, scooters, unicycles, and strollers... pretty much anything with wheels.  Of course, anyone can walk the parade route too.  In fact, you can even make a float!  So start thinking of ways to decorate your mode of transportation.  We would love to see your creativity!

Salem City's goal for the Children's Parade is to encourage all of the children to come and celebrate youth and vitality.  We want to have the children feel a part of the celebration!  So gather up your family, your friends, your neighbors, and get your ideas rollin'.  More details to come.

NO HORSES, ATV'S OR GAS POWERED VEHICLES.  BATTERY OPERATED CARS ARE OK. :)
