Planning & Zoning Commission


The Planning and Zoning Commission provides analysis and recommendations to the City Council on all matter dealing with the present and future development of the city, in accordance with the goals and policies of the City's General Plan.  This includes reviewing, approving or recommending to the City Council for requests for general plan amendments, zone changes, subdivisions and text amendments.  The Planning and Zoning commission is appointed by the mayor.

Planning and Zoning Commission Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month except December when it is held on the 1st Wednesday.  Meetings are held at the Salem City Council Chambers 30 West 100 South. Planning & Zoning meetings starts at 7:00 p.m.
