The canal has been repaired and has water in it, but it is not to full capacity. Our P.I. ponds are being filled, but we are still very concerned about water usage. Please still water wisely and conserve outdoor water useage. We will resume the same water restrictions that were in place prior to the canal breaching, of no watering between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., no watering on Tuesdays and no watering on Fridays for residents. Thank you for your help during this situation.

Avian Botulism Affects Bird on Salem Pond
Recently a number of ducks were found sickened or dead in or around Salem Pond. Water samples were taken and duck tissues were biopsied. This was done to identify the cause of the duck deaths as well as to determine if there was any human health hazards. Finalized reports show the death of these ducks was attributed to Avian Botulism type C.
